Country Chapters represent foreign-trained lawyers from specific jurisdictions and legal systems, as well as U.S.-trained JD attorneys and legal professionals who seek to engage in cross-jurisdictional collaboration and knowledge exchange. They provide a structured framework for members with shared or complementary legal backgrounds to connect, exchange experiences, and support one another as they pursue legal education, licensure, and professional opportunities in the United States. Country Chapters promote peer support, mentorship, and collaboration on jurisdiction-specific topics, including comparative legal systems, credential recognition, and adaptation to the U.S. legal environment. They also serve as a forum for strengthening professional networks within and across countries. All Country Chapters operate under the central governance and policies of the Foreign Trained Lawyers Association and are fully integrated into its organizational structure. Chapters actively participate in Association-wide programs, events, Working Groups, and collaborative initiatives, contributing to the Association’s overall mission and activities
